BIO

Since 2015, Eugene Tyler Band has grown from a singer-songwriter duo into a high energy multi-instrumental country-bluegrass band. Called “an enigmatic band to watch out for” by AmericanaUK, ETB has been building a grass-roots fanbase around the country, from bluegrass festivals such as Thomas Point Beach to sharing the stage with country icons like Wayne Hancock, Joe Ely, and David Allen Coe.

The band’s newest release, ‘baby dogs’, is a three-song whirlwind of an EP. Longtime partners Eugene Gardner and Danny Tyler weave guitars, mandolin and banjo together with a restless energy, while Marc Jaffee, who also produced the record, rounds out the trio on upright bass.

The songs range from meditative walks in the woods (Rocky) to scathing social commentary (Ain't Enough), as Gardner prods at people's motives, including his own, trying to sift out just how anyone can feel settled in the world around them. With these gritty, irreverent songs, ETB is already taking acoustic music in a new and exciting direction, but, as Gardner says, "we're just getting started.”

PRESS

"Reminiscent of alt-country icons like Jason Isbell, yet there's an intricate, grooving element about their execution. Their lyrics are soaked in metaphors that pierce into the humanness of the listener; there's an outlaw, rugged approach that borders on discomfort because the content is that honest." - nj.com

"Sure to turn your head inside out... A low fi folkie reflection on the humorous side of how life sucks." - Midwest Record

"Excellent album from an enigmatic band… Intense guitar interplay that recalls the Milk Carton Kids & Mandolin Orange… an easy-going sound underpinned by great musicianship." -AmericanaUK
